KeePassRX

I know this blog has been quiet lately. But I think the posts will pick up in volume a bit, even if they're not exactly LONG posts.
I wanted to take a moment to announce a new project I'm working on.
KeePassRX is a KeePass password manager app for Ubuntu Touch
I recently decided to take the plunge and switch fully to Ubuntu Touch on the Volla Phone Quintus. Volla is a somewhat obscure smartphone startup based in Germany, with a focus on privacy. They are vaguely similar to FairPhone in that they are smaller and try to differentiate themselves from the larger players in the market. Both FairPhone and Volla are friendly to open source, but Volla goes the extra step and is one of the only manufacturers that commercially offers Ubuntu Touch as an installation option on their phones. The Quintus is their latest flagship model at time of writing. It's a decent phone. But more on that in another post!
I use KeePassXC to manage all of my passwords. But the only KeePass app on Ubuntu Touch was a broken application created in Python. So, I took it and decided to rewrite it from scratch in Rust! I started with the original UI, but have rapidly changed it to the point where it's almost completely different. I've also implemented a bunch of new features beyond what the original app had.
I will soon make a page for the app on the capsule with documentation and instructions on how to use it.
