I give up. Time wasted trying to compile a 2.6.7 kernel. I even downloaded pristine sources. The damn kernel won’t boot...

Please append correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic:VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0)

The people on ​#kernel-panic were nice, eventhough that’s just the channel for a San Diego based LUG.
