Gus L wrote about writing up a megadungeon and it’s good advice: Dungeon Design, Process and Keys.

SRD:

This is an adaptation of the D&D 5E SRD available in Markdown (.MD), Microsoft Word (.DOCX), Adobe InCopy/InDesign (.ICML) and many other publishing formats. – OGL-SRD5

Maybe this game is a bit more about community building and less about horror:

It is about you and your crew making a home of your spacecraft or station, your only sanctuary in a dangerous universe. Most of all, it is about surviving in an abandoned frontier system where resources are scarce, and competition is fierce. – Death in Space

Feudalism:

How Do We Get Rich? The short answer is "You don't." The system does not work in your favour unless you are high in the hierarchy. The long answer is "You don't, unless you have a plan." PCs should always have a plan. If you want to operate within the feudal structure, your group needs a noble patron. This could be your group's knight. It could be an ennobled wizard. It could be a local baron who is desperate for cash. You need to get on their good side. They will protect you. They are the lever that makes the entire system turn. -- OSR: Death, Taxes, and Death Taxes, by Skerples

You should not tax PCs by this method if your game is: Adventure Focused / Heroic (Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition); Character Focused (driven by the interactions between players rather between players and the world. Drama-based.); Not Medieval (there's less incentive to use this in an Early Modern setting, Cyberpunk futures, etc. You could potentially adapt it for post-apocalyptic games though.); Beer and Pretzels (light, fluffy fun with low commitment). -- OSR: Death, Taxes, and Death Taxes: Part 2 (Design and Methods), also by Skerples

Prices:

The list of medieval prices which follows is by no means complete or thoroughly researched; I merely extracted references from some of the books I have, and I thought others might like to inspect it. The sources I used are listed at the end. If an item is listed several times, it is because I had several references I wished to record. – List of price of medieval items

Dungeon design:

I provide practical, step-by-step instructions on how to make a 30-room dungeon that is fun to play. You’ll learn the nitty gritty of writing a dungeon from inception to completion: drawing the map, numbering the rooms, populating them with monsters, hiding treasure, and putting together notes that you can use at the table. Together, we’ll create a dungeon. Like Bob Ross, you can follow along at home using the provided workbook. At each step, I’ll talk through the design choices and philosophy of why I do things a certain way. And, like Bob Ross says, there’s no wrong way to do things—you can make different choices as you follow along. At the end, we’ll have a working dungeon you can actually run at the table. -- Designing Dungeons: Or, How to Kill a Party in 30 Rooms or Less

Player-driven turn orders play best when they enable the sort of choices a character might make in a battle: Delaying for a split second so an ally can open an advantage. Readying an attack for when a foe leaves cover. -- Turns and Turn Order Are the Worst, so Why Do Roleplaying Games Make Us Spend So Much Time Deliberating Them?, by DM David
