I started working on data portability AKA nomadic identity in tootik, https://github.com/dimkr/tootik/blob/nomadic2/FEDERATION.md#data-portability is a living document that describes what I achieved so far and dimkr@didkey.000090000.xyz is the first of its kind (should be 99% backwards compatible with Mastodon and friends)

Does this yet allow for moving existing posts from an old account to a new one? Or is this something different?

@DdlyH No, it allows you to register on multiple servers at the same time, act as if all of your users 'own' your data (your user one server A can delete a post you posted on server B), and export+import your activity
