I'm loving Lagrange from f-droid. installed it yesterday. Is there a way to import the user data in the desktop version? Bookmarks etc.

Yes. On the desktop, use File > User Data > Export, and save the generated ZIP file. Send the ZIP to your phone somehow. Then on the phone, in Settings there is User Data > Import. There is an "Import..." button visible when viewing the ZIP archive in Lagrange. In the import dialog, you can choose what to import (in the bottom, there is a button for Select All).

I need it the other way round. I have my bookmarks on my phone and want to import them to my desktop. I have managed to import my identity and have tried to do the same with the bookmarks.ini. But this does not seem to work as it keeps overwriting the file with the existing bookmarks. There are not that many so I can do this manually, but interested if there is an easier way

There is no automated way to do this. But the same instructions work in reverse, too.

When importing, the app is able to merge the old and new data gracefully.

I mainly just export my identity and email the pem file to myself using protonmail, and for my gmi email thing, I'll copy and paste it to my email as well seperately. I know that's a lot just to save my pem files to all my devices. (Motorla Raz plus 2024, Laptop and now my iPad.)
