HUD specs

HUD specs are like Google Glass if it was good. Because yinrih are quadrupeds, they can't dedicate a paw to holding a mobile device while walking, so they use wearable tech extensively. Yinrih normally walk on their palms like baboons but can knuckle-walk for short periods while holding something such as a paw keyer, which is used as an input device along with HUD specs as output.

Yinrih eyes function completely differently to the eyes of terrestrial vertebrates. If human eyes are cameras, yinrih eyes are radio receivers. The eyes proper are arrays of nanoscopic quarter-wave dipole antennas on a shared ground plane. These surfaces absorb almost all incident light, making it appear as though yinrih eyes are coated in Vantablack. Between the eyes and the outer eyelids, there are four pairs of nictitating membranes that act as bandpass filters. Yinrih can see a much broader spectrum than humans, but they can't perceive the whole thing all at once. They have to use their bandpass membranes and signal processing in the brain to "tune" their eyes to a portion of the spectrum they're interested in.
