Slightly Strange, Slightly Unsettling Dream I Had
I had may as well start posting my dreams in here. I'll never remember them all.
Last night, I had an odd dream. I was with my brother on a sort of garden patio covered in fake turf, and in the middle of the "lawn" there was a black plastic bucket, perched atop some cinder blocks. On the wall nearby, there was a plastic doll.
It's possibly worth noting that I live in the UK, where we tend to use sandstone, redbrick, or reinforced concrete for construction; so I'm not sure why I imagined cinder blocks.
Anyway, next to the bucket was a large plastic bottle full of a strong alkali. Not sure what exactly what it was, but I'd hazard a guess at rubidium or caesium hydroxide.
I poured some into the bucket and one of us tossed a pull tab from a drinks can into it. It produced a shower of sparks, like one of those novelty candles, before slowly dying down.
It was at this point I began to feel unsettled, as if I were doing something horrible.
I then took the doll from the wall and lowered one of its legs into the alkali. When I removed it, it appeared cleanly cut off where the top of the liquid had been. I placed the entire doll into the bucket, causing a little of the alkali to spill over slightly as the toy disappeared into the viscous liquid.
It was at that moment I began to slowly wake up, and the dream faded to black.
