i use both xlock (from xlockmore) and xscreensaver, both work without problems.

my wmstickynotes version preserves sticky notes workspace as well.

so each note is on the workspace it was. that helps me to sort sticky notes by topics.

also my version is hiding/showing sticky notes when the main minimized dockapp(is that a dockapp?) is clicked.
