@CitySlicker - Glad to hear it! when-if-ever you get to it, I'd love to hear your reaction. Lewis' take is a lot more pre-modern than hypermodern, and he's aware of a more-than-eliminative-materialist understanding of the cosmos. I really don't want to spoil it, but I'd be fascinated to talk about it. :)

Has anyone read the Space Trilogy by CS Lewis? He's got an entirely different take on space, aliens, exploration, and man's place in the cosmos. Really interesting.
