@dimkr Is a way of moderating sign-ups or requesting/providing unique sign-up links on the cards for a future release? There's a lot of spam in the fediverse these days and it would be easy for a small server to be overwhelmed by spammers taking advantage of unlimited sign-ups and/or using other tootik servers to launch spam attacks on remote servers...

@DdlyH I'm currently thinking about changing the registration flow so users are forced to write an introduction post after registration, and a new user can't do anything until the instance admin approves them (which makes this post public)

@DdlyH Forgot to mention: posting and many other things are throttled, plus tootik ignores incoming posts from newly registered or suspended users; currently, as far as I see, the spam situation is under control, minus one incident with an antisemitic troll that abused open registration before I blocked them
