post some pictures of it for us to see on mastodon (or bubble!) I've been following your post on playdate somewhat since it seems like a cute little gaming device. one of my first consoles was a gameboy advance (and later the sp color) so this resonates with the nostalgia parts of my brain. plus the crank is a neat gimick

I had been following PlayDate early development back in 2019 back when I was also working on an ESP32-based handheld console prototype (https://fosstodon.org/@xavi92/109327766400891534). I am glad to see PlayDate has achieved a great video game ecosystem and community!

Considering the PlayDate features an ESP32, are there any multiplayer games already around?

@xavi So far I think the networking capabilities have only been used for downloading games and high score leaderboards. I think at some point it may be possible but a networking API for games is not available in the SDK yet so that's probably why we haven't seen any online multiplayer. There are some multiplayer pass and play games though.

My replacement playdate arrived in good condition. This thing is really neat. Really enjoying it so far. The firmware feels very snappy and good.
