@lars_the_bear My mistake. That double quote should have been encoded. Fixed. Thanks for the report.

@bluesman : Thanks. It's working for me now.
I note that when I enter a new year, it has to be exact. I guess being able to enter a range, or an approximate, would be out of the question? Don't want to make unnecessary work.
Incidentally, sometimes the "poster" images don't appear. I don't think that's your fault -- I think sometimes they're broken in the source.

@lars_the_bear You can now use a search link to get a list similar titles. I also switched to "full plot" instead of "short". I noticed some obscure Poster links are broken. That's in the source. I could test them before rendering the page but that's a lot of overhead.

@bluesman : it's awesome. And much nicer than using the web version. Well done.
Cool! I'm usually looking for runtime, country and language when I go to IMDB, I see that information isn't available right now. It would also be useful to look up a movie by its IMDB id because that's used by some other websites for cross reference.
Do you have to pay for the IMDB api, or do they have a free version?

@lamb-duh I added Runtime. I'm debating what to do with Country and Language. Blade Runner (for example), comes back with seven languages and three countries. I'm wondering if that's too much information for the pre-formatted text block. Feedback welcome.
It's possible to search by IMDB ID.
Scriptonite will auto-prompt for the IMDB ID if you just put ";id" on the end of the base URL. Do you think that would be useful as a link on the home page?
GeminiMDB calls the OMDb API. You get 1,000 requests a day for free. Beyond that, you have to become a Patreon member.

I added the IMDB ID link. Still mulling what to do with Languages, Countries and Awards.
EDIT: I added Language and Country at the bottom of the page.

GeminiMDB — I haven't made a Scriptonite app in a while. This one's useful, I think. [gemini link] GeminiMDB You can see the source here: [gemini link] GeminiMDB Template Page You can specify the year using the link at the bottom of the page if it returns the right title but wrong movie. The API key is limited to 1,000 lookups a day. It's Gemini so I'm not too worried. A few examples: [gemini link] Bugonia [gemini link] 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple
