I'd be interested if you try some more to hear your experience. I've used Amfora a little and seems like a solid client. I'm looking for a client I can run on a very old computer, but both Amfora and Bombadillo are written in Go, which I don't have a toolchain for (for that computer).

I forked "Astro" to create "Ashtro", a version that works with Busybox's "ash" shell, so I could run it on TinyCore Linux (like I'm doing right now). You can find it here: https://codeberg.org/dheadshot/ashtro .

Have you tried Earendel? It's written in bash, which I find fascinating.

Half_Elf_Monk, I have not tried it but I am going to check it out!
lamb-duh, I started working on a DOS-based client. It sort of works, but still has some bugs in it. https://github.com/njb1966/nosgem
Are ereandel and astro the same project?

@lamb-duh ... idk. ereandel has crashed on me a couple times fwiw. they could be related or forks or something.

I think so: the original URL for astro's Github now redirects to ereandel's Github page...
[Edit] Also, just found this:
