by the way, on creating accounts - i understand.

afaik on irc you don't need to create an account.

if you just point your browser to

then there in the right upper corner of the browser you can click 'connect' and choose 'webchat'.

it should ask you for a nickname (it is not registering), by default it'll be something like Guest70 - you can leave it like that.

and there is a field to enter a channel name to connect to.

enter #maemo-leste

i think that's it.

but i don't insist, let's hope they'll answer on mailing list.

I have already got past that bug. See the mailing list for next bug on missing or uninstallable packages.

I did spent all day trying to build updated raspi4 images. Could not download the maemo keyring near the end.
