Not sure about those 2, but I have an account on tilde.team and gemini stopped working quite a lot ago, mail still went through though. I think it's half-abandoned.

I've been trying to register for prominent capsules for some time so I don't end up blogging in bbs... I've yet to hear back from anyone. Some (like Unbon Café) have even gone down since I emailed.
Did everyone simultaneously abandon Gemini? :c

I saw your other post, which was very helpful, and was leaning towards signing up for OO, but wary due to those cookie-cutter empty pages (as you mentioned). I suppose I will keep an eye on the capsule and hope that maybe it's just first-post jitters? If you hear back, I'd be curious to know!
Unbon Cafe was a no-go (disappointing, as I was looking forward to waxing poetic in French), no luck with Midnight Pub or Flounder either.

it seems at least one user in OO has slightly changed the ascii art on their page, but that's pretty much it... the "now online" announcement's date has been pushed forwards of one day for the past few so I suppose it's still a work in progress xP i'll give em time
They just added an 8th person! So it seems it is active, at least.

@choy - regarding orbitaloutpost,
im an absolute idiot and decided to ask OO to make my username '99thplace', despite knowing many tilde services do not accept usernames that start with numbers...
I got accepted yesterday! ^^ I'll get to editing my page tomorrow. I'm not sure if the numbers were the issue, but all I had to do was send adam another email, it's most likely they hadn't received my first one at all (damn you, email services! I knew I had to double-check). I should also really learn to trust the process and practice some trust+patience.. If you feel unsure about joining, go ahead anyways! ^~^ it might just be worth it!
is there a probability we can find smokey and ask to republish that post again somewhere else?

@99thplace I am sorry about the account messup. I have fixed it and it is now working. Please go to gemini://orbitaloutpost.club and register. As soon as you do I will approve. Anybody that is looking for a gemini host I do offer gemini hosting. :)

Anyone know how to start a gemini capsule on sdf.org...? i'm registered as a free user, i know there's a way you can start a gopherhole, but what about gemini...? ^^; im trying to do research but can't seem to find anything!!
