Re: "Cement made, coal/wood stove"

In: s/farming

I’ve made a rocket stove and a cob oven but never a stove out of cement.

It might work but I also would guess it’s not very efficient.

I would try something else. It’s not too hard to make a rocket stove! Thee are a lot of efficient designs available.

I had not knew the concept of "rocket stove" before you all mentioned here. But indeed, some of the cement stoves concept I got on internet are rocket stoves. They just use a plastic bucket as a mold, then add a frame to give strenght, then prepare in the mold the places where will be the 2 big holes and add cement. After this they destroy the mold and a "rocket stove" made of cement is born.

I don't think cement makes sense unless you have some reason it's most convenient. If you do use cement, consider using a refractory cement mix, which is designed to withstand high temperatures without cracking.

Metal and/or firebricks would work well and probably be easier to work with.

Cement made, coal/wood stove β€” Cement made, coal/wood stove I don't know if it is exactly the place to ask, but since I`ve not found another subspace about it, I`ve came to try this one. Please erase my topic if it is out of place. I want to know if any of you have tried to made a stove of cement. I've seen some videos on the internet where they do it with a plastic bucket or paper as a shape and then broke it. It seems nice but I doubt a little about it's efficiency. I wanted one to do...
