🔭 Welcome

I am a writer living in Brooklyn. I am interested in hypertext theory, mythology (including oral-formulaic tradition), and how they both have more similarities than you might expect. Here I keep a journal.

The name "viewing from the walls" is a translation of τειχοσκοπία, a narrative strategy in which a character relays what they see off in the distance. In media, it's a convenient way to narrate action or events "off-screen." In epic poetry, it can affirm the importance of a specific character's point of view. In rhetoric, it may serve as a mental image for use with the method of loci.
