What trinket, knick-knack, collectible, etc. in your home would you miss the most if it were gone?
I once lost a carved wooden box made by my mother. That was unpleasant. I have a wooden train made by my great grandfather that I'd be sad to lose. Everything else is replaceable.
Whom do you consider a national treasure in your country?
I once saw Judy Dench in the street doing Christmas shopping. If you're not sure who she is, she played M in some of the James Bond films. I'm sceptical of national treasure status because famous people usually have feet of clay, but Wikipedia lists no bad stuff in this case.
What footwear do you prefer in summer: sandals, or sneakers/trainers/runners/running shoes?
Usually trainers, but occasionally flip-flops.

What did you dislike fried as a child that you cannot now make a fried breakfast without?
What tips do you have for making friends in a new place?
Be friendly to everyone you meet, but remember that a lot of people will be putting on a front. They won't be able to keep it up, but genuinely worthwhile people stay worthwhile indefinitely.
