Is there an expectation that the proxies are production-grade and
reliable? I always considered them a convenient tool to use when you
want to check a gemini page but you don't have a client at hand. Or
perhaps for sending links to other people in case they are not familiar
with Gemini yet.

Either way, there are other proxies you can use. Here are some.
