old thing is solderpunk still not finalizing the spec (its devastatingly complicated)
current thing is that gemini is as quiet as its ever been, there was a kind of "smallweb optimism" years ago that has dissolved into quiet insular routine

dang, i didn't know the spec was still being worked on. it looks like nothing broke any of the server code at least, and the titan protocol also still just works. only just gemtext spec changes maybe? i just checked the orange website and gleaned nothing useful from the various discussions there. ultimately i just enjoyed the smallweb vibe back in 2020 and it looks like it might not be as vibrant now but at least there are some cozy things still around

gemini protocol progress does look dead and i just saw spartan a couple days ago. non-tls and accessible. i might make the server support that protocol too
and the smallweb alternative things are fine being slow i guess even if they waffle between cozy and decay. it's fun to come back to every now and then and read what people have been up to
i think i wanted to have iich do the same the first round to come back to every now and then but it felt weird to be hosting the influx of the specific conversations that were coming in. so maybe slower and decaying, but cozy, is better

I’m looking to use Gemini protocol as protocol for bots. I display each page as message and looks like I wrote usable app around this. This tiny protocol is enough to have something like conversation with telegram bot. I’ll post PoC soon
