The web is an interesting place. Although lately some original concepts of the early web such as exploration and discovery have been lost in a sea of *content* never forget what it was like. Logging on to the web, modems screeching over the phone line, and not knowing what you'd find. Link after link, a weird page, a fun read, an intersting person. It's all still there, somewhere, below the thick ice of ads, corporations and mindless junk.
