How to Comment
Most of the capsules don’t have a commenting system like blogs on the WWW have. Or had, before social media sucked up all the user attention.
In Geminispace, except for community places like BBS or Station, people seem to like either commenting by email, or commenting by writing a post on their own capsules.
Re:
Commenting on one’s own capsule in most cases has a certain title, which is derived from the subject of an email being answered: it starts with “Re:”. If someone would write a post titled “A Review of the New Pixar Movie”, the post replying to the first post would be titled “Re: A Review of the New Pixar Movie” and link to the replied-to post somewhere in the body, maybe next to a quote.
That’s a nice pattern, because searching for the title of the first post will turn up all the answers as well.
And the same title, “Re: A Review of the New Pixar Movie”, can also be used as the subject for an email when commenting via email. The receiver will immediately know what the email is about.
