Ok. So, I played perfect vermin in its entirety now, and I realized how ItsTheMaceo’s other games are related, by their theme themes. More specifically, three games in particular, Swallow the sea, Pit of babel, and Perfect Vermin. So, while I was in lunch/AEP (A.K.A free time), I decided to write a story connecting all three of them

This is maybe considered a rough draft. Let’s see what I can do.

(Spoilers for perfect vermin, Swallow the sea, and pit of babel)

(Perfect vermin - is the start)

You start off inside an office with a sledgehammer. You break through the doors one by one. However, you see that some furniture is off. Toilets being double, an off placed seat, or maybe an extra door. There you break one, then the indicator on the top right counts down, showing that we “killed a vermin”. One by one you kill them all. Then- (Tv static, switches to swallow the sea)

Swallow the sea

You are a single cell drifting though this aquatic world. There you find food. That which small yellow bugs you can eat. You try to enter in the spikey field but you get stabbed. The cell can only sustain two consecutive hits before it dies. However, it can be replenished by eating the food. To prevent this from happening, you can dash. Dashing can also allow you to get prey much easier, and dashing can also break walls. Once enough food is earthen your cell will begin to divide to become a- (Tv static, switches to Perfect vermin)

“return to the elevator so that you can try this again”

The news anchor blurts out. Behind him there is a wall with “FFI News” plastered on it. Next to the news anchors table, a cigarette tray that has one cigarette in it. Above the cigarettes, there is a tv, showing the destruction you are causing.

You walk back to the elevator just as commanded. There- (Tv static, switches to pit of babel)

You walk through the floor of an unknown and inescapable pit. There you find a little factory and a single rotter, you give it food, and it births another one. Then you put it in a grinder, which makes blocks. That which you put in the tower. Some scraps still remain representing the scaffold of the tower. There you begin the build (Tv static, switches to perfect vermin.)

“Do it again but better”

The elevator opens up. There you continue to, kill the vermin. It's the same amount. As you destroy them, the news anchor comments on the vermin themselves and encourages you to keep going. “They hide poorly” “Keep going, don't let them spread” “Just one left, Find it.” There you find the last one, and you destroy it. Afterwards, (Tv static, switches to Swallow the sea)

A new world has opened, and with new worlds, new predators to eat and be eaten by. Gumps, pufferfish like animals will use spikey needles to puncture its prey and can also stab you. However, they are very easy to avoid because they are slow.

Then there are slither suckers, parasites that your group of cells have a defense for, however, they can slow down your colony, letting another predator to eat it. Eventually, we grow to the point that you become a- (Tv static, switches to perfect vermin)

“There are more chambers that need cleaning.” The news anchor commented.

The news anchor is married, and maybe has a couple of children of his own. No smoking signs are plastered around the area.

“Return to the elevator.” You head back to the elevator and head–

(Tv static, switches to Pit of babel.)

You decided to head down the pit, out of curiosity. It is a one way trip, but you are not alone in your adventure into the pit. You strike a conversation with another person while you journey down this pit. However, you know that you won't come back, but you – (Tv static, cut to Perfect vermin)

“No nonsense this time. Do your job.”

He says it, even though there isn't a teleprompter around to force him to say it. The next floor is very different from the previous floors. Same thing if you crush them. The newscaster then comments on the vermin themselves just like before.

“Crush them.”

“They don't feel pain, keep going”

”Keep looking, it's waiting for you.”

You begin to question why he is telling you these things. Is there any authority above them that would censor all of this? You see that they are alive, but why do you need to kill them? Just as you get the last one you see- (Tv static, switches to swallow the sea)

A new land, and new enemy to inhabit it, the vobble is an eel like entity that can open its skeleton to dash towards you. It is best to dash to avoid getting caught by its jaws. More prey is available for your colony to eat up.

Eventually, you turn into an alien baby. It is quite cute, and you decide to give it a name. You named it “borrus”. There you broke the barrier that houses “Orro”, the worm. … You shouldn't have done that. You see it and (Tv static, switches to Perfect vermin)

It's a horrible sight, The news anchor has a large nosebleed with pulsating tumors all round him. On his hands and his neck. His mouth is covered with blood while his crooked teeth look like they are stained with yellow tar. Right beside him, the cigarette butts encompass the entire tray.

“That took longer than expected.”

“I need you to work faster”

“Return to the elevator, the next floors are…”

“Contanimated.”

There you head up to the next floor, and- (Tv static, switches to Pit of Babble)

Other than your friends and the Rotters, you are not safe. Doulas are the major and only enemy in the game. They will be active by having too many rotters. Once a crowd of rotters is established, they will try to grab as many rotters as they can. They act as population control, however they won't stop immediately. Meaning that they can eat all of the rotters, once this happens you are in a softlock. You can’t complete the tower once that happens. The only way to avoid this is to put more blocks in the meat grinder, and thus you can stockpile more blocks. However, blocks can easily squish them, leading to them getting killed. There you continue to - (Tv static, switches to Perfect Vermin)

‘’This floor’s geometry has become uncooperative.”

“Work quickly”

The room is inverted. You continue to destroy all of the vermin, Its a good thing that the destruction falls down to the ceiling, that which is the floor. So you don't have to worry about vermin hiding inside the rubble. After you kill all of them he just speaks two words.

“Just go”

Then you enter the elevator and (Tv static, switches to tower of babel)

You are almost done, however the grinder has stopped working. You can't make any new blocks. So you use your blocks from the tower. Sure its risky but (tv static, switches to Swallow the sea)

You managed to escape Orro, however, he will still try to get you, Orrow will try to chase you, but small areas can let you avoid him. After looking around you find another one of your kin. You eat it, letting you grow to be big enough to eat Orro. There you are grown into a fully developed fetus. As a fully developed fetus, You are ready to be born into this world. Begin your life in the sea and (Tv static, switch to Perfect vermin)

You immediately get teleported to the next room. No smoking signs are placed around the first room and as you open the door, you see the news anchor. He is nearing the end of his life. His entire head is filled with tumors and mouths. Red spots filled with blood, some of them are ruptured and bleeding. There, he utters his final words.

“I always hated my mother.”

“I lived in terror of becoming like her.”

“What horrible comedy that in the end I even die like her.”

“Twisted by hate and desire.”

“I was cruel to you before.”

“Your task was always impossible.”

“My hope was never fair.”

“I offer this as an explanation of my hate.”

“I offer no excuse.”

“Do not worry yourself with the timer.”

“It is not for you.”

“I am being unborn."

“And once again I am amused by the simple beauty of colors.”

“Such abstract fleeting things”

“I will unknown them”

“It was good”

“It was-”

Swallow the sea

You are not born into soft and whirling joys in the sea, but with the monotony of machines and conveyor belts. You are standing in one of them. All of the species you eat, annd avoided being eaten by are squished and pulverised into mush. There, Borris takes his first steps before he gets squashed like the rest.

Perfect vermin

Pancreatic cancer, one of the most agressive forms of cancer is usually caused by smoking. Once cancer cells begin to wrap around blood cells, the tumor becomes innnoperable. Chemotherapy cant stop the cancer spread or diminish it to the point that it is operable, however, it is mostly impossible. Once it is inoperable and chemotherapy fails, It becomes terminal. Once this happens, cancers can spread thought the body. There the cancer will inevitably kill its host.

Cancer can kill a person by a multitude of ways, like siphoning all of the energy, overcrowding the organs, or the immune system indirectly destroying healthy cells. The body can't keep up, organs begin to shut down. Eventually the brain and the body dies.

You try to clear out all of the cancer as much as you can as the body begins to falter, but its already too late.

You look up to see the doctor.

It's already been a couple of hours since you entered the hospital and you decided to play some games to pass the time.

The doctor enters the room and is in a state of shock.

“Whatever this is, it needs to be quick, there’s been”

“Mr. Shpitz”

“Please sit down.”

“We need to discuss your test results.”

“There’s been an accident, a massacre downtown, it..”

“That will have to wait.”

“No! This will wait, there are people dying.”

“You are dying!”

“It's what we had feared.”

“The cancer has spread, it’s now..”

“What’s happening in that office downtown is the perfect story, it's what I’ll be remembered for.”

“I have to go. We’ll treat this cancer, it can wait.”

“If it was just in your pancreas alone it would be inoperable.”

“But it’s spread to your liver, your lungs, even your bones.”

“By your estimates you have four to six months.”

“You need to start putting your affairs in order.”

“I don't have time for this, people need me.”

“This is the story of my career, my life and I can't ignore it.”

“You cant walk out of this office and have this all just”

“Go away.” (Switch to the pit of babel.)

Pit of Babel

You place the last block down. The tower is built, all of the rotters are dead, nothing else remains.

There a pillar rises. In it inscribes the words and your legacy.

The tower has once more been willed into existence, and thus once more will collapse. A piece of you, however small, has become part of this place.
