There have been "games" like this before.
- someone posted things and removed each and every post after a day or two.
- someone else removed their entire posts as an act of leaving, it seems.
However, that sort of breaks the site. The replies were still there, the original context entirely missing. I was going to refer to one of these posts, and it was gone. While I certainly agree that the author is entitled to remove their text later, it make me uneasy. It also sort of disrespects the effort and time that went into creating replies. If author is really uneasy about what was written, I would prefer the original entry updated, or at least replaced with a comment like "This seems not right any more, so I removed it".
Of course, that is just my view of the world.
