Howdy ~fab!
I stopped "watching" the news after the towers of the World Trade Center fell. And I can confirm, it gives me a lot more peace of mind. It does not help the world a whee bit, if I'm not alive myself. And it is still better to teach someone how to use Linux or bash or microcontrollers rather than sitting in some dark corner hoping for rescue --- whatever that would be.
Assuming it's you, I really liked that bit about "emailing post to your blog is creative", "but what's the problem with lazyvim/git/shell?" :-) I do use emacs/git/magit/shell/make to "make" it all happen :) --- "make" was the first real tool I learned way back in 1991 or so. According to my ~/.emacs.d/init.el I started using emacs 1993-02-01. :-) And I'm still using it daily.
Cheers!

Your decision to *not* "watch" the news, is very wise the more I think about it. Especially for me, because I'm blackpilled very fast, and I think i fall for the TV news in that regard. They want me/us to feel blackpilled and then show some ads, and keep me waiting for the next catastrophy - I don't know why the world is the way it is, maybe they want to make us feel helpless, but why? (That reminds me of Winston in 1984 when he says "I know the 'how' but I don't know the 'why'"). I'm not sure if I should think about that too much. In the end it's surely just to make more and more money for some people.
And yes, I wrote an answer to Gary Moore's article about his way to post on his gemlog via email. Nice to hear you liked it! Thanks! :)
