< no one will be there

~teacup

My grandparents died a couple of years ago, their flat was vacant up until a couple of months ago, when it was finally bought from a married couple expecting a second child.

I recently just so happened to be passing near their house and I had to stop; not to get a final look at their house, but to take a walk in the nearby park.

That little corner park is no big deal, mind you: propped against the railway but hidden behind a wall, a couple of swings and a dusty bench.

Still, I had to visit one of the last intact places of my childhood.

Funny how the mind works.

Cry, be sad, then smile melancholically and go on.

Cheers ~iazia, for the things we left behind

Cheers to that! It's all we can really do. I left a little bouquet of flowers by the fence, silly it may be.
