Geocities [mentioned in the article] sorta exist in the form of 'Neocities', right? Though it is a pale shadow of the former. Enshittification [Coined by Cory Doctrow] has happened to the internet.

GeoCities was around in the early 90s, NeoCities (I think) has been around since 2012. They didn't exist simultaneously; GeoCities closed years earlier.

Of course, we'd like to have the same audience here (we have the resources), and we're more than serious about it.
