How Do I Change the Default System Hostname?
The easy way to do it, is to simply run the gtkhostsetup Salix system tool.
Otherwise, you may follow the instructions below:
If you completed a FULL mode Salix installation, the default hostname is set to darkstar.example.net (inherited from Slackware). If you need to change the hostname you can edit the /etc/hosts and /etc/HOSTNAME files accordingly. For example:
