Lovely cluster, I had not viewed it for a few years (2022-03-20). It was not on my list of favorites, but after tonight that has been rectified.
A large amount of stars with a moderate range in magnitude. The observation fit very nicely with the 13mm (55x) eyepiece, allowing for just enough surrounding space to frame it perfectly.
Found east-north-east of Sirius.
After my observation of M 47, I moved an FoV over to the east to observe M 46. I did not produce a sketch of it, but it was a lovely view. Much less pronounced that M 47, it contained a multitude of dimmer and smaller stars.
