Great multiple system. B was a close sibling at 1.6” which pushed the limits of my scope a bit as the Dawes / Rayleigh limits of my scope are 1.14” and 1.36” respectively. I was unsure if this was going to be a true split, as this might be the closest companion I’ve attempted; but funny enough, even at 55x I could detect the sibling if I overfocused just a little. This pattern persisted through my closer magnifications all the way up to 200x, where I relied on a little overfocusing in order to consistently see the sibling.
By the time I finished 66 Eridani and looked up, clouds were unexpectedly closing in stopping me short of my three targets for the night.
