It's a perhaps poorly named language from a somewhat evil company.

Telemetry

    $ go telemetry off

More extreme would be to turn off the telemetry at the local DNS server level, e.g.

    server:
    	...
    	local-zone: "telemetry.go.dev" always_nxdomain

which will help if you forget to turn it off manually, or the configuration management fails on a new host. Exceptions for systems that do need to send telemetry would then be difficult; perhaps a DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) that sets a different DNS server could be used for such hosts.
