I'm a 40something dude. Sort of an ecological data guy right now. A perennial city dweller. Grower of many medical symptomps. I like flipping rocks to search for tiny animals. Favourite animal's a sloth.

Been in gemspace since 2022, I think. I live with my spouse and daughter in a very mediocre and somewhat dirty city. I'm located in Israel and unfortunately sort of trapped here. Though born and raised here, I have felt unbelonging and a foreigner at the latest since ~2009. Funny how life changes you. I have strong, negative feelings for the general society around me but I do have friends and family that I love.

I wish that someday I'll migrate to a saner place, probably in Europe.

I'm now unemployed (thanks, stupid war economy) and looking for work as a data analyst. last analyst job was in INPA, the nature reserve and parks authority. I loved that job because it felt meaningful doing something for species diversity.

In my previous career I was an Environmental Engineer, and before that a (forcibly conscripted) soldier. I was forced to do reserve service until I was 37 and I hated every goddamn minute of it.

curious about ecology (the scientific domain inside biology), languages, dataviz, small-everything and Geminispace, of course.

Is there anything you would like me to elaborate on? please let me know.
