Welcome to my capsule.
Things I'm interested in that I hope I can share with the tilde world:
- Ancient, cheap, and ancient-and-cheap music gear. Digital synths nobody loves, drum machines with bad reputations, etc. No mods -- I'm not an electronics person. Just "artistically" putting them to work.
- Linux for semi-regular people. I have recently un-Googled an old Chromebook, and my daily driver is Linux Mint. Again, I'm not a technical person or a programmer.
- Front end development. I hate the idea that this stuff has build processes, compilation, and all that junk now. I don't think we all need to move to Gemini, but we've gone so far from "pages with text links" it's both amazing and frustrating.
The promise of the internet to bring people together through easily-accessible, open-source technology has devolved into an increasingly divided web, increasingly motivated by shadier-than-ever profits, and increasingly residing in walled gardens.
