started using photogrammetric models from sketchfab.com , especially models from cultural heritage objects or natural objects. used some simple workflows in meshlab to finalize them for 3d printing. lot s more interesting than printing models from thingiverse & co. have to learn more about meshlab. looking forward to print medical mushroom models for educational purposes. eventually I have to paint or brush the models too.

3D printing at the local library — I know very little about 3D printing and I don't have the equipment or materials to do it at home. I was delighted to find out some of the public libraries in Chrischurch would accept requests for prints. You just had to submit a .stl file and pay for the cost of the materials by weight. Sadly, they had suspended the service for a while. However, 2 days ago I found out they reinstated it in 2 of the libaries. I got a half-height bracket for a low profile...
