I was in a business meeting and called the AI praise "insipid ass-kissery" in my presentation. What's sad is some people get validation from it. At least this room chuckled.

This is indeed a worrying sign. I don't think there's any bigotry in thinking that communication platforms should be for humans to communicate with other humans. Machines have plenty of other ways to communicate with each other that are faster, more accurate. I keep warning of the future where communication is useless. Where someone's LLM composes a message and someone else's LLM summarizes it and automatically replies. At no point is any actual honest to God communication happening.

do people actually say this, lol? who thinks that LLMs are actually people? have they ever interacted with one for more than 5 minutes?
