@bluesman I tried installing Alhena on my laptop also running win 11, and I got the same result (spawns two processes but no window).

Hmm. I assume you're running the pre-built windows install and not configuring Java yourself? If so, you can get a log by running the following from a DOS shell (assuming the same paths):
This should create some output in the shell. You may see some logging related to Java 25 and then hopefully there will be a stack trace which shows the error.
When you see two processes, are they both the same name and do they persist?

@Anchorite Tonight I installed Alhena on my daughter's Lenovo Windows 11 laptop. It worked fine. That makes five Windows PCs (two with Windows 11) that I've tested without issue. I'll need that logging info to figure out what is happening in your situation.
