Anyone can recommend some bicycle water bottle with a dust cap that actually work for more than a few rides? I've tested several of the plastic bottles, on all of them the dust cap seems to wear and ultimately not seal properly. The only one that work ok are the one that came with my elite stainless steel water bottle but that bottle tend to rattle on my metallic bottle cage. I'd like to avoid using hydration/hip packs if possible. I am riding a lot in the dirt and without a working cap I end...

I ride 20km to work, on bike paths and sand, with an inexpensive, heavy, upright hybrid. What should I invest in to achieve higher speed and lower effort - a different kind of bike? Slick and narrow tires? If road/gravel is too expensive, is there anything I can do to commute efficiently on a quality MTB?

I'm in my 30s and learned how to ride a bicycle 3 months ago. Since then, I ride to work instead of taking a bus, 20km in each direction. I do this 2-3 times a week and average 15-16kmph, but the goal is 4-5 at 20kmph. It's not easy but I'm so glad I'm doing this!

After completely discarding the idea of exploring the city this summer, the plans have been moved to autumn. I have a couple of places in mind, like the nearby castle-like structure and the roadside station on the other side of the lake. As for the bike, I need to do some basic maintenance beforehand. I've been avoiding it for the same reason (scorching driveway)

This morning I went to the nearby lake. The bicycle lanes are good. There were a couple dump trucks blocking, so I had to stop and take the main part of the road and pedal hard to get out of the way quick. It was cold but I had a good time.

20 inch folding bikes for cargo — So my "thesis" is that 20 inch folding bicycles make for much better (and affordable) semi-substitutes for cago bikes, than their big-wheeled classical counterparts. And I've got a photo to prove my claim! The rear rack being so much lower on a 20 inch bike, you can put quite a lot of stuff on there. Just have to secure it with a couple of bungee cords. And there's also a robust wooden plank at the bottom of the bag, so that it keeps its shape. I've been...
