I'm in my 30s and learned how to ride a bicycle 3 months ago. Since then, I ride to work instead of taking a bus, 20km in each direction. I do this 2-3 times a week and average 15-16kmph, but the goal is 4-5 at 20kmph. It's not easy but I'm so glad I'm doing this!

Thats great, keep it up! Whilst I love working remotely, I do miss my morning cycle commute, as it was such a great way to build in regular exercise and far more enjoyable than taking public transport. It also served as a great disconnect between work and home.

I'm in the same boat as @sbr : very happy working from home, but the ten minutes by bike that I used to spend every morning going to work were very easily my best time of the work hours...

anyway: awesome that you learned to bike and are doing it now. Keep at it, and enjoy every minute!

Woah that's crazy. Don't you get sweaty after that though?

@undefined Super sweaty and I work in a city with a hot climate and high humidity; I take a second pair of clothes and apply all sun protection methods I can

@sbr Same, I like this disconnect. I can work from home but it's not fun, plus cycling to work is good for mental health. I don't see myself working from the office five days a week but being able to do this without relying on public transport is a good goal, challenging but doable.
