This is a small feature update with a couple of useful additions.
Automatic Comment Order
There is a new option for sorting comments in discussion threads: "⇅ Automatic" chooses the sort order based on which order is used in the post feed. When using the default chronological post order, threads display also chronologically in natural reading order. However, when using the Activity or Hotness sorting modes, comments are displayed newest-first.
I've been using this myself with Activity sorted posts to more conveniently follow new comments, no matter how old the post is.
New Content Indication ☆
In Settings > Display, there is a new setting that you can enable to highlight posts and comments that were posted or edited since your last visit. This should make it easier to quickly scan for new content especially when combined with the automatic comment order.
Currently this works by keeping a timestamp of when your previous active session ended. An "active session" is ongoing if less than 15 minutes has passed since your previous request to Bubble. I may need to add a manual action to clear the ☆ indicators; let's see how it's working after a bit of real world testing.
Fixes
- Issue posts should always be referred to via their issue ID number, not the post ID. Some URLs were being composed incorrectly.
- Issue ID did not appear in the "Re:" link when viewing an issue comment.
- Feed paging links did not work correctly with manual sorting mode parameters. (Thanks @sy.)
