For a while, I've thought about trying to serve my capsule over Reticulum, but I didn't think any infrastructure existed to do it. Then, just today, I found out about Gemini/Reticulum. I'm excited to play with this.

difference between meshcore and meshtastic — does anyone understand the difference? what i understand is: both use lora as hardware. i guess firmware can be flashed to the same devices? but not always? heltec can be flashed with both meshtastic and meshcore? but t-deck not? i have read somewhere that meshcore is a routing protocol separated from the app, but i don't understand, in videos they just install a meshcore android app and stact using it with the ui i think very similar to...

Anyone played with HaLow? (802.11ah) this is probably a little easier to get setup in an urban area to use as an alternative mesh network outside of the commercial internet. Be interesting to have Halow/standard wifi bridges distributed around a city so people could use their existing devices to participate in the alternative decentralised network. One that could keep working when the isp or network goes down

just watched some meshtastic and the reticulum talks of 38c3 congress... i want to build one solar driven base-station and equip each family member with a modul (also the chicken shed and some other projects around the house. but i want to run/use reticulum on them. what is the best hardware to buy for this purpose?
