Trump reposts AI video about medbeds

The post was deleted by Sunday. The video is an AI fake Fox News about "medbeds" which are a conspiracy theory about miraculous devices not available to the public able to reverse aging, cure any disease, regrow limbs in minutes, real sci fi stuff. Peeking into the rabbit hole, there are, of course, scam products purporting to be the tech or part of the tech or cards enabling information to the tech.

Mechanisms that enable these cures are AI, of course, ions, and terahertz waves.

I don't think I need to say this, but it isn't real.

If you're seeking terahertz waves, all forms of visible light will give it to you. If you want ions, have a glass of orange juice or a nice tomato sauce.

It is really sad to see posts from the folks who believe it. Things like trying to heal an ailing family member and begging their representatives to allow them access to one. Both heart wrenching but also the kind of scam that turns my stomach. It really preys on the needy and desperate.

So why the hell did the President of the United States repost a fake announcement he made? Is he such a narcissist that he likes to see himself on TV making big announcements? Even pretend ones? Was he paid by fellow scammers? Was this a trial balloon to getting the Trump organization into the quack medicine industry? Vote with your phones now!

Some claim it is what is keeping RFK Jr alive. Which seems like an admission that he is very old and in poor general health.

I'm honestly not shocked that the president shared an LLM Ai video that's a bs scam that tricks desperate people, says more about his character than anything.

I think there's an overlooked aspect: No-one cared. The president appears to have fallen for some ridiculous conspiracy theory, and it didn't make headlines. Hardly any media organisations even mentioned it. No public question of his competency or the media he might be consuming. No debate about the implications.

No, it's just Trump being Trump again. Happens practically every day, it's not really news.
