I think there's an overlooked aspect: No-one cared. The president appears to have fallen for some ridiculous conspiracy theory, and it didn't make headlines. Hardly any media organisations even mentioned it. No public question of his competency or the media he might be consuming. No debate about the implications.
No, it's just Trump being Trump again. Happens practically every day, it's not really news.

Trump reposts AI video about medbeds — The post was deleted by Sunday. The video is an AI fake Fox News about "medbeds" which are a conspiracy theory about miraculous devices not available to the public able to reverse aging, cure any disease, regrow limbs in minutes, real sci fi stuff. Peeking into the rabbit hole, there are, of course, scam products purporting to be the tech or part of the tech or cards enabling information to the tech.
