Just for the Librewolf lovers: I found that its uBlock add-on is still sending requests to Google servers:

https://codeberg.org/librewolf/issues/issues/2526

I have never trusted solutions that use third-party add-ons to claim they are privacy-oriented. It's all fake, again and again. The only option to control the outgoing connections is to use containers for apps like that.

While true, this seems fairly innocuous. All they will know from this request is that you use an ad blocker: This isn't something that can be used for tracking. Technically, they could serve you a different list (or some malicious payload) if you were explicitly targeted by the government, but this would be the least of your problems at that point.

Still, it should be fixed. Hopefully they can host the lists somewhere else in the future.

The web with ads is far, far worse.
