I finally moved my gemlog from Gemini to Nex protocol: [nex link] Yggdrasil [nex link] Mycelium [nex link] I2P this is subspace of the org server; I'm lazy to operate separated one. For the white people, who play TLS: [gemini link]

Well, now I'm living on [gemini link] but without .zip option as it takes more than 1Mb (~3)

Recently discovered Gemiweb: A minimalist Internet better than gemini: program your own web browser, parser and interpreter! Subset of HTML, HTTP, CSS and JavaScript. [https link] yet no experience with it, just for info I wonder if there are no channels about Gemini protocol in the IRC, but maybe only one #gemini-it on Libera.Chat

Guys, I wonder why I can't find the email in DeltaChat contacts after removing just the email history from its left bar. How is this possible?! Does this client remove contacts when I remove the emails, or could it be something else? Before, I banned another contact and then spent a while searching for how to unban it. What the curse!

DIY router UPS based on USB power bank — Someone is playing in survival mode while I’ve been living this life in Ukraine for the past few years. I created this 'UPS' from available details and testing. There are updates required, such as adding a diode to prevent microvoltage on the mass and a capacitor to prevent the modem from rebooting in a triggered state. Attached is the photo, and the updated full article can be found here: [gemini link] Саморобний UPS для роутера на базі пауер-банку USB

Has anyone used a multi-host configuration in Agate? I'm trying to define a few domains with the following arguments: [bash] The certificate is generating, but domains A and B are unavailable. I can use only one --hostname with this server. If someone has used the multi-domain option successfully, then it might be a local issue on my end.

I plan to create a new forum engine for the local community in Geminispace. Here are my thoughts on the following features: Titan input by default (for Cyrillic text) Decentralized, open database on the blockchain (KevaCoin) The second point has me thinking about how to properly save username and public key pairs using user certificate authorization. Can I store this key publicly, or should I use a fingerprint? The fingerprint is a hash of the handshake, essentially obfuscated data. Is it...

Long post option in BBS comments. This could be useful. I'm always counting the bytes when I write a reply; plus, post editing always takes a few bytes for the post ID. The 'GET' request is definitely not useful for messages. I really miss the Titan option, especially for Cyrillic characters, which require more 'special character' encoding length. I dream of creating a forum engine one day, where I would make Titan input the default for messaging. But what about this platform? Are long...

Planned for a while, and I just recently added a .zip archive option for my gemlog in case someone wants to grab the entire capsule for backup or offline reading. The link is available on the main page: [gemini link] [https link] deployment script

Recently tested the minimalistic, radio-first oriented Reticulum network with its NomadNet/LXMF implementation, but I still don't understand how to host a Gemini capsule there e.g. when the global network is down. It seems I need to convert everything to Micron. It's frustrating!

I found that the Gopher protocol supports non-canonical HTML types: [https link]) It's interesting; does it also support CSS, JavaScript, and other modern technologies by the way? Additionally, I can't find any browser (except Lagrange) to test the native behavior of this protocol. Could anyone recommend something for Linux?

Finally, I have moved my web deals to the Chromium and now ready to apply a paranoid privacy configuration for my primary browser, Firefox. This is not my first attempt; I know it may be impossible, but anyway, I would like to ask: does anyone have an about:config template? There are many options, and I want to disable everything, from JavaScript to unnecessary HTTP headers and external content pre-loading. It should be closer to Gemini but with HTML/CSS support. P.S. The proxy is not an...

This isn't the first year I plan to fundamentally try the Gopher protocol (for blogging). However, every time I read the documentation, I definitely don't understand what's going on. Maybe I'm too young, but the Nex protocol looks better to me. What do you think about Gopher? I'm interested in the opinions of people who have really used it for a long time (e.g., older users)

The fact is that, given the choice to write a preprocessor in Rust or Python for the mdBook builder, I chose Python, even though I don't like it. Why? Because it's simpler to learn Python than open another window to build.
