Misunderstood in its time. People wanted more OK Computer but that would ultimately have been forgettable. With deep retrospect it was the correct next step to take. It took me years to "get it" but I finally did. Other bands were branching out around the same time, trying to figure out the next sound. Everyone popular now owes it to trail blazers like Kid A, though it also has contemporary influences that are classic late 90s. I wouldn't elevate it to "masterpiece" exactly but it was extremely forward looking and way ahead of its time. I still give it a listen from time to time and enjoy it. It has aged well.

Great album but an aquired taste. It was one of the last CDs I remember buying in an actual record store.

Loved it at the time. Now too familiar to fully appreciate, but I'm still impressed by the diversity of sounds within one cohesive record. Definitely one of their best.

I listened to Kid A in the car tonight. Motion Picture Soundtrack gets me every time.

I was disappointed when it came out because I was in love with OK Computer, but have since grown to love it almost as much. Haven't listened to in ages, though. I'll give it a proper listen tonight
