Anyone cares for the Eurovision Song Contest? I find it a useful source of new (and old, hat tip to Italy) artists and performers, although the genre is narrow-range and thus something I enjoy occasionally, not always. I mean, Käärijä, amirite

I was just talking about it with a Finnish friend... It's not a thing at all in the US, most people haven't even heard about it. I have, but literally that -- someone had explained what it is.

I suppose that's sensible. I don't know how many Europeans watch "America's got talent"

I would definitely recommend taking a look at the older editions if you prefer slow music/ballads. I personally do not like the newer Eurovision entries, as they're more focused on theatrics and lots of entries seem to be just pop filler. Though the older years have their own duds too, but I find that the stand-out entries definitely stick out more and stay with you.
