Many years ago, I worked on a similar project. It was a cosmic game about mining and crafting materials using the real periodic table with original physics.
At that time, I was stuck on sub-nuclear relationships, facing the same unanswered questions that MIT researchers encountered while using supercomputing to find answers. Now I found this crate, and plan to continue my beginner experiments using its database model:
