I switched to a $4/mo VPS at dinu.com, and it has been flawless. Otherwise there are tons of tildes for simple gemlogs. sdf.org has been around for decades.

@stack the thing is that im not rlly technical & tildes are kind of shown off as communities. im not really all that much of a techie so i feel like i wouldnt rlly fit in with them. & also i dont know how ssh works :P

Yestercities officially shutting down. A while ago I posted about issues connecting to the server and such, and just now after checking on it there was a notice instead of my capsule.
