@chluehr I already spun up a much smaller VPS than my fat MailCow server and installed mox on FreeBSD. Yes, there are even binaries for FreeBSD :) I completly moved my email accounts over to the much leaner mox server and have *no* problems. It was easy to set up, although the webinterface doesn't work as expected yet, I needed to do all the account creations on the CLI, but no problem.

And now I have a RAM usage of ~340MB in contrary to my MailCow server which swallows between 3-5GB on idle.

I will cancel my subscription to my MailCow server now. I'm completely convinced of mox.

I just need to figure out the backup/recovery functionality and I'm fine :)

Yes, I've just joined #mox:matrix.org. Thanks for the info.

I just don't know how to get the web services working, but I don't mind using the CLI, I just use NeoMutt for email so there's no need for an email client.

I also already set up a backup solution with borgbackup, with which I can have another setup up and running from backups in about 2 hours in case of desaster.
