Re: "Android file manager Anyone know of a reasonable file…"
MiXplorer is my go-to. It's not open source, but it's the most feature-rich Android file manager I've been able to find. It also supports very old devices, going all the way back to Android 2.3.

I've been using Ghost Commander for years. Two panes, plus SFTP or SMB access to my other machines.

solid explorer works beautifully. it has two panels too. has a paid version in Google play ($0.99 I think?) that enables smb, ftp, sftp, gdrive mounting options

I should have searched for "explorer" or "commander"... Now I see a few in the app stores.
Notably, F-droid has a whole section "Flashlight", but none for system utilities

Ive personally been using fossify file manager, since it works great on the 3 phones I have, but I don’t know how well it’ll scale to larger displays unfortunately.
Here’s the link if you’d like to check it out: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.fossify.filemanager/
i would also say total commander. it is the only software i was able to use to open a

nowadays.

Android file manager Anyone know of a reasonable file manager? Especially for a larger screen device? Android apps make me feel like my hands are tied behind my back and I am using my tongue on a jigsaw puzzle Two panes would be a blessing
